ScanTalker for the PAC Mate makes it possible to quickly, easily, and accurately identify more than one million products, simply by reading the bar codes on their labels. Just hold the small, lightweight omni-directional scanner that is included in proximity to the barcode on a product package or container. ScanTalker automatically matches the bar code with available information in its vast database and speaks the product brand and name. For many items in the database, ScanTalker also provides product label information that sighted people take for granted, such as ingredients, preparation instructions, and dosages. Using PAC Mate commands, you can hear as much or as little information as you want.
